I have been using this app on my iPhones since 2010 and I still love it. Accurate and able to last a whole day out shooting pics with a reasonable update frequency.

Works perfectly and so much cheaper than a $300 Canon camera mounted GPS.

Great app. But... Cant upload data via wi-fi. Only uploads using cell data. Support is non-existent!! Emailed them several times. Not a single reply. Disappointing.

I use this app with my Sony a6000, perfectly resolved the geotag issue.

i’ts very easy to use, works with LR and Dropox, now I can see where I’ve gone to take my photos. 3 stars because that desktop app doesn’t work at iMac.

You can easily accomplish what this app does with your camera and google maps. Save your money!

My Canon Rebel T3i doesnt have a built-in GPS, so I was having to make a note of where I took each photo so that I could record the locations in iPhoto along with the pictures. When we bought our latest computer, it had done away with iPhoto and replaced it with Photos. This new program wouldnt allow me to add locations to any pictures that didnt already have them as part of the metadata. Geotag Photos Pro solved my problem. Ive used it on three trips in the last several months, and its added the location metadata easily and accurately to each picture. Im glad to recommend this app to anyone whose camera doesnt automatically add location metadata to photo files.

We recently returned from in Asia trip where we used to non-GPS cameras to take lots of photos. Recording location is particularly important in Asia for those not fluent in the language, because even if you know more or less where you are, you often cant record it due to inability to read the signs. When I learned that no and Im GPS units were available for either of our cameras, I invested in GeotagPhotos PRO. It works remarkably well, and is amazingly smart in processing the images afterwards. Of course you must synchronize Camera times with your smartphone time, and you must remember to turn on the recording function when youre going to be shooting photos. But if you do those two things, the program works wonderfully. Several times I ran the recorder all day long with two minute intervals, and never had any problem with my phones battery life. When I got back home and activated the Mac version of the software, I was astonished to see that the program imported all the different GPS files from our trip and applied them intelligently to all the photos taken with both cameras. Accuracy seems to be on the order of a couple hundred feet, though of course if youre walking or driving in a car the error is greater due to the intervals between the GPS data acquisition. However it was plenty accurate for me to get what I really wanted, which was the general location where the photos were taken for later reference. A simple, and terrific app for what it does!

This app makes geotagging extremely simple and automatic.

I use this with Lightroom and find geotagging ex post facto to be a breeze. Adobe even has a video explaining how to use the apps together.

This application is incredible. I use it with Lightroom and it works great. Huge time saver! Have recommended to many folks.

Bought a new camera that that had everything but GPS. Geotags was a simple way to add gps coordinates to my pics. The app is incredibly simple to use and worked flawlessly at home and on our trip to Japan. Uploading the gps log to the geotags site was a 1-click effort and Adding the gps information to my files using the Windows app worked perfectly (and took 3 clicks). Amazingly simple and well executed solution!

Would get higher rating with flat look. Looks dated as is right now. Good otherwise.

Best money I have spent on an app.

This app was recommended to me a while back. I have used it for most of a year now. I used to geotag photos by hand after the fact, which can be time consuming. No longer an issue with this app. Saved me money as well by not needing to buy a GPS receiver for my camera costing hundreds of dollars. I am a big fan of this app.

Works great. Dont need to invest in expensive GPS geotagging add on hardware for my camera. Works great with Other tools after the pictures are tagged.

If you dont have a GPS chip in your camera, this is a great second best. Has gotten better & easier over the years. Takes a little getting used to, but then it its easy and efficient

Nice integration with dropbox, clever usage of periodic GPS fixes to limit battery drain, and an easy to use interface.
