This iPhone app works like GPS Data Logger - it logs your positions during your trip. FAQ:
q: how much it will drain my battery?
a: depending on logging mode, that you choose. If you choose reasonable logging mode (like to get position every 10 minutes or so), iPhone battery will be enough for more than day.

q: will it work abroad, if I dont have roaming?
a: yes, but it can take longer time before it gets the first position (especially after first usage after your travel by plane). Please dont use Flight mode! It will switch GPS off and logging will not work.

Geotag Photos Pro app good for

I have started using the app some time ago and I use it almost for all my trips. Had some issues in the past with the Mac application but still able to tag the photos. Thanks.

Im using it to tag my Nikons RAW files (NEF) on MAC OS X. No need for the Nikon GP-1 unit anymore. ;)

Very simple to use and delivery what promisses. I love having my pics geotagged.

Great app. Worked as it said and easy to download using iTunes or send via email. Definitely recommend this app fro anyone beginner to advanced. Works great with Aperture 3 !!

This small strait forward design application is very good, I must say, excellent. The only problem I can see is, that you can not change your log-in name nor your password. The technical support seams to be “deaf“ to my email which in contrast with this otherwise very good application, is very unprofessional.

I use use this app for most photos. Wish I could do the tagging on the iPad for field work.

Some bad moments

This application has problems with its Java interface on MacOS which since its developpers acknowledge publicly on their website since October 2012 and which to date has NOT been solved satisfactorily. I have not been able to use it, and await further developments.

You can easily accomplish what this app does with your camera and google maps. Save your money!

Its an amazing app, I use it a lot, and Im really happy it support Apple Watch now. But why dont you guys optimize it with iPhone 6 / 6 Plus?

Despite almost universally good reviews, I was very disappointed: this app worked once in the USA but when I tried it in Europe it always crashed on launch. Emails to the developers went unanswered.

The app worked great on my iPhone 5s until the update for the apple watch. Since the update, the app seems to try to launch, but is not accessible. This is very bad timing, as I plan on leaving for an overseas trip shortly. Please fix.

Seems to work better when there is a network connection. Pre-trip testing in the U.S. worked ok. But the track log failed to record my hikes in the Galápagos Islands. I ended up tagging photos manually in Lightrooms Map module without the gpx file.
